United Stated Department of Agriculture (USDA) 2011 Planting Intentions report will be published soon.

We rely on the information in this report along with comments from our Processor members to understand the supply of bird seed that will be available at the end of the summer. The bird seed monitored by WBFI includes black oil sunflower, one of the most popular seeds for wild bird feeding.

As spring progresses, WBFI members receive regular updates from HQ on the crop plantings, the impact of weather on crops, packaging materials situations, freight and transportation impacts, and government issues for both the US and Canada.
