WBFI is your full-service trade association. We are your peers and your potential trading partners. We give you easy access to information and contacts you need in order to keep your business growing!

MEMBER COMMUNICATION

  • "Members Only" is a controlled access area of our Website wbfi.org containing articles of interest, artwork, links to members and alliances, on-line bulletin board discussions, and information to assist you as a member of the industry.
  • Regular membership meetings in conjunction with major trade association conventions, including Western Seed Association and Birdwatch America, keep you up-to-date with industry issues and provide valuable networking and education opportunities.
  • Status reports on industry issues and developments sent via fax or e-mail.
  • WBFI leaders and members, representing all facets of this diverse industry, are available to assist you when you are a member.
  • Nyjer® logo, guidelines for use, and information developed to eliminate product confusion while providing industry and government with an acceptable name intended for printed applications.

MARKET RESEARCH

  • Clearing house for pertinent, industry-related data by collecting or disseminating market research results.
  • Statistical information about the industry is maintained for use by members.

ISSUES INVOLVEMENT

  • Work with trade and government representatives on noxious weed issues.
  • Communicate with governments to ensure a consistent heat treatment and sampling standards while monitoring quality of Nyjer seed imported into North America.
  • Monitor state and federal legislation on issues such as excise taxes, product labeling, conservation measures, and wildlife habitat.

  • Articles and artwork available for your use in Members Only section of the website on issues that impact the industry, such as West Nile Virus and feeder cleaning to avoid salmonella and conjunctivitis in bird populations
  • To assist consumers, teachers, and youth to learn about bird feeding by providing links to quality sites from our own wbfi.org and educational materials

  • Support to member companies in fulfilling information requests
