WBFI Takes the Stage at the 2026 WBU Expo
This June, the Wild Bird Feeding Institute had the opportunity to attend the Wild Birds Unlimited Expo, and what an incredible few days it was!
Our Executive Director Emma was joined WBU Chief Naturalist Brian Cunningham on stage to share an update on the work WBFI is doing on behalf of our industry. Together, they highlighted the benefits of WBFI membership, the research we've conducted that directly supports retailers, and our consumer-focused initiative, PROJECT WILDBIRD®, which encourages people everywhere to discover the joy of bird feeding as a hobby.
Emma also took the opportunity to invite retailers to join us at our upcoming 2026 Annual Meeting in San Juan, Puerto Rico this November, and reminded the room that nominations for our annual awards program are already open!
Beyond the stage, Emma and Rebecca were able to spend time on the expo floor connecting with WBU franchise store owners. Since every Wild Birds Unlimited location is a WBFI member, it was a wonderful chance to help retailers tap into their membership resources and make sure they're getting the most out of what WBFI offers. They also had the chance to reconnect with several industry partners who were present at the show.
It was a great few days filled with conversations about birds, the mission of WBFI, the impact we can make together on legislation that affects our industry, and, of course, the fun we get to have along the way.
